The consolidation of two standard residential blocks on the corner of Moore and Gould Street Turner created the premier residential address of section 43 Turner. This location deserved an equally ideal living environment being close to the City and Braddon commercial core, offset from the pace and noise of Northbourne Avenue and offering spectacular panoramic views for the majority of the apartments.
The developer aspired to deliver a quality apartment development within the permitted development envelope with classic clean line architecture.
SQC ARCHITECTURE’S SOLUTION
In response to the vision of the master planners of the Northbourne Avenue the design delivered a tasteful low scale “podium” presentation to Moore Street – complemented by mature street tress and a garden setting, and a distinctive tower element contributing to the Northbourne Avenue corridor and claiming breathtaking views. This resulted in 35 beautiful apartments over nine floors and 2 basement levels.
Externally the architectural composition is characterised by the distinction of the two primary building blocks, graded series of colours and texture, the ordered family of window sizes and shapes, feature elements of vertical and horizontal blades, the interface of the outdoor living areas with the overall aesthetic resolution and a quality landscape setting, designed by Harris Hobbs Landscape Architects.
Internally the individually crafted lifestyle apartments include with modern decor, large living and bedroom spaces, entertaining areas and balconies responding to the spectacular views. These are supported by secure access and convenient parking.
The building design offers a contemporary architectural style with uncomplicated but remarkable features and tasteful colours.
